May Tarot Reading

This month of May feels dreamy and full of possibilities. We most likely will find ourselves in a state of imagining the future. These day dreams of the future are important because it’s now that we are manifesting and begining to create our reality. 

Many changes could be coming up for us soon and we could feel some sense of anxiety or fear over what’s to come. Challenge that fear by having faith and trust in the divine/the universe’s plan for your life. Instead of worrying about the little things, think of how things may go perfectly right instead. 

This month is a very creative one for us where we may be creating pieces of art or perhaps writing something or doing anything that involves self expression. We have the ability to harness the confidence within and actually share these things with the world. The energy this month is encouraging you to open up like a flower and share your gifts and insights with others. 

Remember that you cannot force a flower to bloom when you would like it to. It is a natural process that happens with perfect timing. So don’t rush yourself, others, or even certain situations this month. Growth and expansion are happening regardless of what things look like on the outside. Trust the flow of life. 

This week is highlighting our relationships with others and where we may have been feeling dissatisfied. There are some relationships that have not been giving us what we really need or want from others. We could be thinking about what has happened in the past with those people and reflecting on how things haven’t got much better. We might even be feeling nostalgic and remembering times when things were so different and how maybe things will never be the same again.  

These unresolved issues can lead us to feeling somewhat moody and disconnected from others. Instead of dwelling on the past and where you are currently dissatisfied, look to the future instead. How can you focus on finding the sense of belonging that you crave? There may be people you can get that from now, either from old friends or new ones.

Maybe it’s a good idea to join a new group or club to make new connections. If you’re feeling this sense of loneliness then it’s most likely time to look forward to something new. That could be new relationships or new experiences with your existing ones. 

This week brings us back to the overall themes of this month. With the Chariot card coming out, we are taking the lead in someway and creating our own path. This card is all about confidence, ambition and overcoming obstacles. The main challenge I see for us now is growing beyond our own insecurities and fears. Our emotions may want to take over but we are strong enough to keep them balanced. 

I see us getting creative this week. We may want to share what we have created. We may want to enter some sort of competition or showcase. These things make us nervous but do not doubt yourself now!

It is time to put yourself and your creations out into the world and allow others to connect. Be you, unapologetically. You will be successful, particularly in your own personal growth. 

I don’t always channel songs during my tarot readings but I am right now! This one is from the 1998 Mulan soundtrack. The song is called True To Your Heart by 98 Degrees and Stevie Wonder. It makes sense why I’m hearing it because this week we have the 7 of swords reversed. 

There is something going on in your life that you need to distance yourself from. This could be in any area of life but whatever it is, you know deep down you don’t belong in this situation anymore. The energy this week is asking you to be honest with yourself on what it is you really want and need. 

The great thing, is that we also have the Ace of Pentacles showing up. This could very well be our escape plan. An opportunity for something new to get us out of the old. Now just isn’t the time to do the same thing you have been doing, even if it feels “safe”. You know you’re better off going in a new direction and now is your moment to finally change things up. It’s time to start creating your new reality.

As Stevie Wonder once sang, “Why second-guess, what feels so right? Just trust your heart and you’ll see the light.”

The cards for this week are showing me an ending but also a huge sense of relief. What is ending is something that was difficult and painful and just too much work. It’s finally ending and you can take a big sigh of release. 

With that ending comes a major rebirth and transformation. Remember when I was talking about flowers blooming in this month’s overall themes? Well they are beginning to open up and bloom now.

It’s that area of life or relationships that you have been steadily working on that is finally shining and creating beautiful results. All that work is becoming worth it and a new path has opened up for you because of it. 

I hope you’re ready to ditch the past because it’s prime time to let go of all the drama and pain that has happened. Think again of all those wonderful daydreams and visions you had for your future as you traverse into the doorway to what’s next.
