October Tarot Reading

Overall Themes

The month of October seems to be all about new beginnings. The Fool card shows us words on a tombstone, “Rest well, for this is the end.”

We’re reaching the end of some period in our lives. This time could have been somewhat uncomfortable for us, perhaps exhausting. We are now assured that we can rest in this new start. We have finally made it to this point! Things are about to change for the better.

Trust that you have learned and done everything you needed to do. You are ready for the next chapter of your life. Your rebirth and transformation is about to take place. Embrace the newness life is bringing to you.

With the Veil card coming out, we are being called to be intentional with our vision and hopes for the future. Plan ahead and think BIG! Also, the veil to the spirit world is thinning during this time. Expect some strangness.

What do you want this future to look like? How do you want it to feel? What will your relationships look like? What activities do you see yourself doing?

The cards are also showing me that you won’t be alone. You will have a special companion with you on this journey or even a small group of people. One of these people is in a leadership role and will work as a guide, providing stability and protection. Or maybe it’s you who is stepping up to the plate.

Week 1

The first card I pulled for this week is the Joy card. The background of the card just so happens to match my background set up perfectly, as they both have autumn leaves all around. Little moments of perfect alignment and satisfaction is the vibe I get for this week.

The Hermit card makes an appearance as well. He has come out of his sacred solitude because he has things to share and stuff to celebrate. Just like in the last card, his arms are open wide, this shows an openness to the flow of giving and receiving.

Now could be a great time to get out of your routine and go socialize. Ditch the blue screens and live in the moment. Be receptive to what the universe is offering you. Appreciate the small stuff and celebrate the big wins.

Week 2

It looks like this week can bring up some feelings of regret or dissapointment. Should’ve, could’ve, would’ve kind of thinking. The situation will vary for each of us but it’s as if we feel we’ve risked too much or not enough. Perhaps a feeling that we have missed some kind of opportunity.

The seven of pentacles reversed can indicate that this relates to money or material goods in someway.

The key here is to not obsess over this issue. Give yourself a break. There’s no need to rush or panic. In fact, now could be a great time to take a step back and reasses. Do your best not to see problems where they don’t even exist.

Week 3

This week may call us to work as a team with others and we may face some challenges with it. Though this may be frustrating, this is a grand opportunity to be aware of yourself and do your best to see things from another’s perspective.

Now is not the time to act out emotionally or impulsivley. Speak to others how you wish to be spoken to. Try not to think in extremes or absolutes. Be flexible.

Vampire imagery comes up twice here. Like with vampires, the inability to see your own reflection in the mirror also means being incapable of self reflection in general. Don’t let this be you.

Choose to calm yourself and then wisely choose your next action. You can only control yourself aftreall.

Week 4

Justice comes out for us this week, showing that the scales will now be balanced. There’s no need to linger on any feelings of loss. As mentioned in the overall themes, you can trust that you’ve done all you needed to in order to start fresh. Everything is fair and good.

Love is abundant this week and our hearts are full. Focus on all the good, all the love around you.

The Altar card is pretty perfect for the week of Halloween. It encourages us to create a sacred space and make contact with those who have passed on. If you feel up to it, leave offerings for loved ones and ancestors. Their messages await you.
